Dangerous Trans Fat
The trans fat (trans fatty acid) is more dangerous than you know.
While natural trans fat does exist in very tiny amounts naturally in beef tallow (fat) and in real butter these are natural fats and are NOT harmful.
Man-made trans fats are VERY harmful.
From the fetus through adults the trans fat will cause injury and poor health.
Lactation - In mammals (humans) trans fats reduce the overall fat content of breast milk and can interfere with neurological and visual development of the fetus.
Fetus Development - Trans fats can cross the placenta causing low birth weight and interfere with brain development.
Fertility - Trans fats can increase the number of abnormal sperm and disrupt the production of sex hormones such as testosterone.
Obesity - Even when calorie intake remains the same women that consume trans fats weigh more than women that do not eat trans fat food.
Diabetes - Trans fat can cause diabetes by interfering with insulin receptors preventing proper use of blood glucose.
Heart Disease - Trans fats will raise the risk of heart disease.
Cancer - The risk of many types of cancer rises when the body has trans fat in it by interfering with enzymes the body uses to protect itself agains cancer.
